Have you ever felt completely HELPLESS when it comes to doing for others? I've been feeling like I'm not doing enough. When it comes to fighting Cancer....other than prayer...I got NOTHING! I've had so many friends and family members affected by it. This year....instead of just giving others KUDOS for attempting to make a difference....I decided to participate.

Thinking of all of the female "WARRIORS!" out there...fighting breast Cancer...I was moved to create an amazing painting that I hope inspires those affected to FIGHT HARD!!!
I call it my Cancer Fighting Super SHE-ro DIVAS! I will post it after the event (copyright still pending) but, this is the making of the bra to go with it. Can't wait to post it along with the painting....COMPLETED!!! I am feeling better already. If you're in the Albany area....check it out and lets work to find a CURE!!! and SAVE THE TA-TAS! =)

Okay...I'm terrible. I'll admit it. I have an excuse. FABFUNKYDIVALICIOUSNESS is heating up. Last Month was the Nights@DTown event which was a huge success. Here are some FABULOUS people that attended and supported us. =) Thank You!!

I had a great time and the best part...They are doing it AGAIN!!! So...I've been whipping up more goodies...including oil burners. Here's a Sneak Peek!

As promised...I'm delivering more than one post a decade. =) So, I moved to a new place and I LOVE IT!!! I love how new places ignite creativity. What do you think of my kitchen?

I'm loving the bursts of color! The tea kettle is just for decorative purposes...it was my moms. =) I love that Marilyn cutting board and I SHALL NEVER USE IT!! seems foul to cut up her face...ya know? Anyway...Thats how the FabFunkyDiva-dom got started in the first place. I wanted cool things in my place and couldn't find anything that appealed to me. Do you ever get like that? Maybe its just me.

I'm making gifts this year. So, I've gotta get to work. I'll post pictures when they are done. Until then....HAVE A FABFUNKYDIVALICIOUS CHRISTMAS!!

I know, I know...I'M TERRIBLE!! Believe me, I have great intentions but when it comes to posting often....UGH!!! I just suck! I'm going to do better. This is what I've been up to. I've been trying to get things together for Christmas. What do you think of this? I call it... The FabFunkyDiva Dry Erase SAVE A TREE Desk Pad! Ha! Mouth Full...hunh? Instead of note pads...just use this. How cool?
And the back is a friendly reminder as to how cool you are... YOU SAVED A TREE!!! I love em. Divas should always have things that say...HELLO!!!! I ROCK! So anyway...I've also been working on Pillows!! I love throw pillows. It's like an extra place to hang a picture without hanging it. I'm working on this DON'T WASTE THE PRETTY PILLOW to go on the bed or a chair/chaise thats positioned under some AWESOME art and accented with the pillow. This is it in the making. I promise....It'll look much better than this. =)

Is it wise to drink wine while creating? I have no idea. I've got another wine event coming up and I'm looking for inspiration. This wine...kinda sucked for me. I like sweet and STRONG! ha. I'm serious...I really do. This was too dry for me. I felt the acid reflux comin' on. Anyways....see...working on cool stuff for the wine party. My friend Wilena want to throw me an ART coming out party. I wanted to wait till June but seeings how I need to pay rent...I'm think about a May gig. HA. Lets keep the fingers crossed that someone will dig the stuff on Etsy.

OMGoodness! It's been BANANAS!! So, this is just one of the FABFUNKYDIVA Java Art pieces I made for the new downtown coffee shop called Elements! (downtown Albany). I've been getting some fab feedback from it. I only wish I'd done it bigger. Oh well. =) Still pretty stoked about it.

They'll also be adding shelving so that you can get these fabulous jumbo latte mugs. These are my latest creations. You know I'm an 80's Junkie and I had to pay my respect. Prince, Boy George, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Elvis Costello and Billy Idol. I can't wait to see it fired.

And you know...I always represent for the fluffy!!! i've got more of these chicas in the works as well. I'll have the finished pieces posted hopoefully on friday. =)

Just wanted to keep you in the know. I'm not sitting on the back cushions...if ya know what i mean. I'm working. =) Stay tuned and keep those prayers and positive energy coming. LOVE MY DIVAS!

So, this is what I've been working on. Gotta lot of stuff to do to it but it'sn HUGE!! I don't think I've done anything this large before. Take that back...I did a mural once but it wasn't this detail oriented at all. I can't wait till it's completed. I think it'll be the best thing I've ever done.....aside from the Angel Mosaic made with recycled BlockBuster Gift Cards. Anyways....

Got Wine Market coming up next month which I'm uber excited about. I've got so much to do. CRAZY!!! Plus...my friend Anthony is opening his new location for Elements Coffee in Downtown Albany and asked for pieces of art to display....IN 3 DAYS! OMG!! I need about 5 of mes. So...no blogging...back to work. =)

CANCER AWARENESS, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS AND THE 80'S ROCKS!

Lots of People have wondered what I've been working on. Well...ceramics mostly lately. The FABFUNKY CANCER FIGHTING DIVA MUG did very well at the Auction. From there.... people asked to order. SO VOILA! I'll be selling them and donating $10 from the sale of each mug to assist in the fight against Breast Cancer. I was so inspired that I also wanted to do something for Domestic Violence Awareness. I'm currently living in the smalll city that was once known as the Domestic Murder Capitol of the South. Is that Bananas, or what? Well, you know I'm all about the DIVAS so, I decided to take a "purple" spin off the Cancer Fighting Mugs and go with this...

Sometimes...a Diva has got to do what a DIVA has got to do. So this FABFUNKY LOVE DOESN'T HURT DIVA MUG was created. I have different versions of the PINK & PURPLE ready to roll.

My Domestic Violence tribute mug proceeds will go to The Liberty House Womens Shelter. I want to give back. This is one of the ways...I'm doing my part.

Overall...I've been pretty busy. I'm doing matching coasters for the Cancer Fighting Diva Mugs as well as tile magnets. I've got Fluffy DIVA mugs in the mist and I'm a total 80's baby and have been working on this I HEART THE 80S MUG. Well That's not the name of it.... maybe I'll have it down when I'm done. I have a little Madonna, Boy George, PRINCE (of course), Janet, Elvis Costello and Billy Idol on this one. Cant wait to see if finished. Oh well...Lots to do today. I've been waiting on a new phone that seems to be taking FOREVER! to get here. I plan on posting the mugs on the site today but I'll keep ya posted. WOW! I'm at it AGAIN! I can't give up on my dream. I want to work for myself one day and NOT struggle. Marketing is the key. I've seen some of my favorite artists live abundantly and doing what they love....doing something that others feel they shouldn't.

Anyway...where do people have the time? Trying to hold down a job and pursue your dream. This is my new funky foxy diva. I'm diggin' her.

It's funny how things come out of you. I've never done "folky" art like this. I knew a guy, that called me a succubus in a poem. At first, I was livid. He didn't address me with his issues, he chose to "blast" me in his poetry and read them in front of a room fool of people that came to me, repeating his words. I was furious. I thought of all kinds of ways to get even. I had some things working to my advantage and could have made his life a living hell. I thought about the karma. I don't think I can ever take what I'm "capable" of dishing out. So, I tried flipping it and making it a positive thing by putting that energy into my art. In my mind, I was cursing him out and thinking of all the things I could have done. I began to paint. I liked it. I added more. I really dug it. I released the negativity and created something positive. The best part.... I got $75 bucks for it....YAE ME!

Working on a new website for the art, copyrights, etsy shops while filling in orders and what not. One day...I'd love this to be my full-time job. Until then.....
